I was very excited to photograph Jessica Campbell’s branding images! She is an art teacher, entrepreneur and overall amazing woman! Jessica is truly an inspiration with her drive for success, sense of humor and fun and amazing talent. From the minute we had our pre-shoot planning call to discuss her session and plan her outfits and location, I knew she would be super fun to work with! Creating branding images and portraits for entrepreneurs is one of my all time favorite things to do, I absolutely LOVE helping people to succeed and achieve their dreams! Above are just a few of my favorite branding images I took for Jessica, I can’t wait to see what she does in the future!

Meet Jessica Campbell

Artist. Wife. Mom of 2. Entrepreneur. Teacher. Confidence builder. Fashionista. Exercise enthusiast. Skincare, Make-up and Dog Lover

What do you do for a living and how did  you get into your line of work?
I am art teacher at Schwarzkopf Elementary, but I also run two side businesses. One is selling anti-aging skincare, and the other is running my own art camps, classes and parties. 2. I was a late bloomer in pretty much every way possible. It took me a few years after high school before I decided to go to college. I was planning on getting an education degree to be a kindergarten teacher, but that changed once I took my first art class. I had always loved art, but didn’t feel I was good compared to others. Back in New York, my college art teacher was very encouraging and told me it would be a mistake to not pursue art with my talents. He even helped me transfer to a school that had art education so I could at least have a way to make money. I never thought I would have a degree, and next thing I know, I got a job teaching art at Westchase Elementary!

Do you like your job?
I love my job, and I feel I have a gift of simplifying my instructions so the kids art turns out amazing. My number one goal is to build up their confidence and self-esteem, something I always struggled with. At this point in my career, I have taught over 10,000 students, and I hope that I am happy memory for them from their childhood. That being said, I don’t feel I can do this forever. My schedule is far from ideal with 30 minute back to back classes. I prefer teaching on my own schedule, like at my summer art camp, and allowing the students to finish their work. One small project can take 4-6 weeks to complete when I am at school.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up and what was your dream job?
When I was younger, I told people I wanted to be a veterinarian. I never believed it, however. What cracks me up is that I used to imagine myself driving a wood-paneled station wagon full of kids and groceries! Haha! True story. My dream job was to be a weather girl. I wanted to be on camera, looking pretty, and I always found the weather very interesting. I was way too shy and had braces until I was 20, so it didn’t really seem like it was possible!

If you could do anything now, what would you do?
If I could be doing anything right now, it would be to step back from my full time teaching career and work for myself. I am extremely motivated when it comes to building businesses and watching them grow. My next project is going to be finding a producer and videographer to help me create my 200+ lessons into short videos. My dream would be to have either a Netflix show or a successful YouTube channel so my lessons and life’s work will be there long after I’m gone.
