I approach photography as I do in life, with curiosity, fluidity and excitement. I often see people in a different light than they see themselves, and love creating portraits who show people how beautiful they are!
I fell in love with the art of photography while studying at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. After graduating, I started my photography business in 2005 and never looked back. While my life & my photography subjects have changed over the years, one thing has remained true: my passion and love for being behind the lens.
The beauty of life is that it is always evolving. While I started out photographing families, weddings, my focus has become photographing women. From headshots to branding sessions to beautiful underwater fine art portraits, we will get to know each other and the create something beautiful together. Behind the scenes: Underwater Photography Sessions
I absolutely love photographing women above land, but underwater portraits are definitely next level fine art. Similar to branding portraits, we will work together to go over posing, what to wear, best angles, but also how to move underwater, pose, hold your breath and relax! Depending on your desired look, I have a natural spring in my yard in Seminole Heights we can shoot at, or head to a pool. Here are some video’s of a shoot and the spring.
My Studio in Seminole Heights
My home and studio is located on the Hillsborough River in Seminole Heights. With over 1.5 acres and an avid gardener for a husband, a large natural spring and a home with mediterranean architecture, I have a beautiful backdrop for sessions right here in the city of Tampa. There are so many beautiful locations to shoot in Tampa, because of the diversity in backgrounds/looks, lighting and privacy, my house is my favorite. My studio also has a private bath and a great place to change, sit and relax for a minute or use the mirror to touch up your makeup.
